Solution
ClearX uses highly innovative, patented technology to reduce the amount of plastic needed per treatment. Thanks to its 4D-Shape Shifting technology and smart aligner materials, an aligner can perform two movements per step, making it the world’s most environmentally friendly and sustainable aligner.
50% Less Plastic Waste
ClearX's unique process requires half as many braces compared to traditional braces systems.
Reduce Environmental Impact
ClearX braces produce only 1.8 kg of CO2, compared to 4 kg from traditional braces systems.
Carbon neutrality
Together with Climate Partner, ClearX offsets carbon dioxide emissions through climate projects.
What is SHAPE SHIFTING?
The shape-changing technology works based on the shape memory property inherent in a smart polymer material. Initially, these materials adopt a default configuration, known as Form 1. When heat is applied to raise the polymer’s temperature above its transition temperature, it becomes flexible, allowing it to be shaped into a secondary configuration, called Form 2. To stabilize this new shape, the polymer is cooled below the transition temperature, effectively “locking” Form 2 in place.
What is Boosting?
What is Boosting? Boosting refers to the process where the aligner is heated to a specific activation temperature, causing its shape to change for the next aligner step, known as the boosting step.
Place the aligners in the booster
Place the aligners with the open side facing up in the booster device.
Add boling water
Pour boiling water into the booster to activate the aligner effectively.
Wait 10 min
Close the lid of the booster and wait for 10 minutes.
Cool down your aligners
Allow the aligner to cool down before being placed in the mouth.
